The sustainable lightness of wellbeing

The location of the swimming pool on the roof of the Napura Art & Design Hotel posed a number of problems due to the structural loads resulting from the individual components of the pool, but these were completely resolved through the use of Klimapool technology. In order to minimise weight, Klimapool EPS structures were used for the construction of all possible parts, including the hidden compartment housing the roller shutter cover, the compensation tank and even the wide staircase of the external walkway leading to the swimming pool. The extremely low weight of the Klimapool structures made it possible to complete the entire project, also speeding up the completion time: while the terrace renovation was underway on site, Preformati Italia began preparing large EPS modules, into which most of the systems were also inserted. The swimming pool therefore began to take shape at the company in order to save time: this is a distinctive feature that strongly characterises the work of Preformati Italia, which has always attached great importance to production and pre-assembly at the company. Each module was lifted onto the hotel roof using a crane and then positioned on the slab, allowing the connections for all the systems and the related operating tests to be carried out, finishing with the levelling and final finishing touches.
