The rectangular swimming pool has a hydromassage area on one of the shorter sides and two areas of different depths to allow users to enjoy the water to its full potential.
As the client had expressed the need for a swimming pool equipped with a heating system, so that it could also be used in the intermediate months, and the need for it to be built quickly, the Klimapool system by Preformati Italia was used for its construction, which also guarantees excellent thermal insulation, a fundamental aspect considering that the water can be heated.
Specifically, the structure benefits from the insulating properties of the raw material, a high-quality expanded polymer compound, combined with reinforcing and waterproofing solutions. All the elements of the pool produced with this technology have a much higher energy efficiency than “standard” materials such as concrete and steel, ensuring high thermal performance, up to five times greater than a corresponding steel pool.
The polymer material used, combined with a reinforced supporting structure completely integrated into the pool, made it possible to build the pool without the aid of external retaining walls. The patented Klimapool system, specifically, provides a series of reinforcements inside the walls, which are anchored to the underlying slab and act as counterbalancing elements - together with the EPS structure - both to the thrust of the water (i.e. from the inside outwards) and to the thrust of the soil (from the outside inwards), as well as to any other unexpected stresses. Another strength of Preformati Italia's Klimapool technology is undoubtedly its ability to significantly reduce the time required to build a swimming pool.
Thanks to its characteristics, it allows work on site to proceed in parallel with the preparation of the EPS modules in the factory, including the installation of systems where possible.
