The rectangular-shaped pool has a whirlpool area grafted into one of the smaller sides and features two areas of different depths to allow the water to be experienced to its full potential.
Since the client had expressed the need to have a swimming pool equipped with a heating system, which could therefore also be used in the intermediate months, and the need for it to be built in a short time, Preformati Italia’s Klimapool system was used for its construction, which also provides excellent thermal insulation, a key aspect considering that the water can be heated. The structure, specifically, benefits from the insulating properties of the raw material, an expanded polymer compound with high quality standards, combined with reinforcing and waterproofing execution solutions. In fact, all pool elements produced with this technology are entirely more energy efficient than “standard” materials, such as concrete and steel, ensuring high thermal performance, up to five times higher than a corresponding steel pool. The polymeric material used, combined with a reinforced supporting structure fully integrated into the pool, made it possible to build the pool without external retaining walls. The patented Klimapool system, specifically, provides a series of internal reinforcements to the walls, which are anchored to the underlying floor and act as contrasting elements – together with the EPS structure – both against the push of the water (therefore from the inside towards the external) and against the thrust of the ground (from the outside towards the inside), as well as any further unexpected stresses.
